The essence of wine

Our goal at wine tutoring is to help people learn about wine. We want you to know what makes a good wine as opposed to a poor wine. We want people to explore the different types and styles of wine. This emphasis on education is what sets us apart from other schools. Our main objective is to transfer our passion for wine to you. You will find us to be accessible, passionate, and low key.

One thing we do not profess to be is wine snobs. In fact, our interest in wine came about through ignorance. About ten years ago Bart Massey, the founder and CEO of wine tutoring was involved in a business deal in the Bahamas. Bart had ten clients who he was trying to impress so that he could continue his business. He took them to a nice restaurant and the Maitre D provided a wine list for the group. Several clients asked Mr. Massey to select a wine for them. Bart’s knowledge of wine consisted of knowing that there were red and white wines. Luckily the Maitre D recognized his lack of knowledge. The Maitre D helped Bart select wine for his clients. Bart enjoyed the wine and he decided to learn more about wine.

Bart Massey is now recognized as an expert in many areas of wine including wine tasting, food and wine pairings, France, Italy, Bordeaux, Tuscany and others. He has taught wine classes at several colleges and he has organized wine tours for businesses, friends, and students. Bart is unique in that his passion is about teaching everyone about the essence of wine. Our classes are taught live and we are always available to answer questions. We start with the basics and take you as far as you want to go in your pursuit of wine knowledge.

Cluster Howard has been a successful college basketball coach, radio personality, and college teacher. He is learning about wine and enjoys promotion, marketing, and sales. He will be assisting Mr. Massey in all aspects of wine tutoring. Cluster Howard does most of our traveling and he will be our contact person for special events and tours.

Why should you enroll in our school? People are beginning to enjoy wine more and more. Public consumption in the United States has grown exponentially the last decade. More and more wines are being sold in the U. S. and around the globe. Unfortunately, not all wines are good wines. Our school will provide you the opportunity to learn what makes a wine a good wine. You will learn about the different types of wine. You will learn about the history of selected wines. You will not be embarrassed like Bart was when he was on business in the Bahamas. Our school will teach you all about wine at an affordable cost. Our staff will be available and you will not be just another paying customer.
